Listen Up, Wildlings: Stay Safe, Don’t Be a D*!”**
It is your responsibility to read these terms and conditions before use or registration on this App.
Wild cannot assume legal responsibility for its members or others.
All swimmers must be solely responsible for making their own assessment as to the risks involved in any particular swim.
Wild has no control or influence over those who arrange social swims on the app, or the locations written about or featured in the app, newsletters, social media or the website. The decision to participate in any swim must therefore be taken individually, and swimmers must not rely (in whole or in part) on views or information provided by the Wild app and/or its members. If you are in any doubt about the safety of a swim or your ability to keep yourself safe at all times, you should not attend.
Wild swimming increases the risk of serious injury or harm. These include but are not limited to hypothermia, drowning, polluted water, currents, fast flows, other attendees, debris in the water, wildlife, or of course the weather conditions. The condition of locations can vary greatly, a normally calm river can become a torrent following rainfall or snowmelt. Each swim should be assessed according to the current conditions and the abilities and knowledge of the swimmer(s) taken into consideration.
Do your own research and turn around if the risk is too high.
We would advise you to never go alone, and always inform someone of your intended destination and return time, but never be governed by peer pressure, your safety and those around you is primary.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Wild App and TSD Proekt EOOD (the owning company)
- each individual acting on behalf of Wild; and
- any person involved in an officially organized Wild event,
exclude any liability for personal injury, death or other harm or loss to its members or any other person or organisation as a result of their negligence or other breach of legal duty.
More information on safety, knowledge and precautions can be found here.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Respect Nature – Leave the swim spot better than you found it. Pick up litter, don’t trash the place, and remember, it’s not just you enjoying these wild spots—the wildlife lives here, too!
At Wild we care about nature, wildlife and the potential harm that human presence can have on any location.
We ask that you conform to the following rules when attending swim spots located on the Wild app:
- Use common sense parking so as to protect the natural environment
- Do not litter – leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but pictures. Take home what cannot be disposed of locally.
- Please pick up litter left by others. Nature is the responsibility of everyone
- Do not light fires or barbeques unless in a designated area
- Be respectful to other water users (families, fishermen, pets etc)
- Keep pets under control (not everyone loves Fido as much as you)
You’re part of the Wildlings now, and that comes with responsibility. So, stay safe, swim smart, and keep the wild fun and f***ing awesome for everyone! 🌊🐻
